I tried to sleep in but couldn't. Once again, the people of this community are treating us so well! They planned a ride on an antique train, a cookout, and hired massage therapists for us! Unfortunately, after this past week of abuse, I feel like laying in bed recovering. I'm going to try and go to everything since they went out of their way to plan the day.
Below are some pictures taken by Van (one of the riders). They are better than my blackberry pictures!

Arrived in Ely, NV
Today wasn't as bad as expected because the last 20 miles were a nice downhill to Ely (pronounced ee-lee, I think). I am so glad to have tomorrow off, my legs are pretty burnt out from the last few days. We ride again on June 3rd on a 120 mile push for the Utah border. It will be nice to change time zones because it will feel like we're making progress.
Nevada is beautiful in its own sort of way, although the scenery seems to repeat itself every 30 miles or so. The small towns are easy to picture as they were in the 1800's. Small abandoned copper mines dotted the hillsides in the last few miles into Ely... very cool for an old history major!

80 miles to a day off!
We have a long day ahead of us. I woke up this morning feeling very tired and drained. I'm planning on taking it slow today partially to give my legs a rest and partially because it is raining. Tomorrow I am planning on sleeping in, doing some much needed laundry, and picking up some supplies. I am figuring out that I packed entirely too much clothing and will send some stuff back home.
