Thanks for visiting my blog! I set up this site to chronicle my training and subsequent 4000 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Virginia Beach. I am heading out with a group of fellow veterans to raise awareness of troops disabled from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Ayr, Iowa
Words can describe the hospitality, patriotism, and over all kindness of the folks from the midwest. The people of Ayr invited us to a wonderful dinner at the American Legion. They went out of their way to ensure that we were well fed and taken care of. Every few miles we were greeted by supporters waving flags and cheering us on. It seems the word has gotten out that we are coming!
